Headquartered in Ohio’s Dayton area, Huffy Corporation is a renowned bike supplier. The company started when George Huffman purchased Davis Sewing Company and made the first bicycle. The first bike sold under the Huffy name was a kids' bike featuring footsteps and training wheels at the rear. Training wheels were a major game-changer in the industry and totally revolutionized the market. Streamliner, Special Roadster, LaFrance, Racer, etc., are some of Huffy’s most popular and bestselling models. After the import of cheap, mass bicycles from China began, Huffy got a major blow. Currently, Huffy’s marketing and product development takes place in Ohio, but manufacturing takes place outside the USA.
