Merida is a Taiwan-based bicycle manufacturer founded in 1972 by Ike Tseng, headquartered in Germany. After providing quality bicycle production facilities for several other brands, Ike launched its own brand Merida in 1988. Since then, it has produced bikes for the Merida brand and some other brands with which the company shares financial interests. Merida is one of the largest companies in Taiwan, headed by Michael Tseng (Ike’s son) since 2012. In 2022, Merida completed 50 years in the industry, producing a variety of mountain, road, gravel, trekking, fitness, and e-bikes for all age groups. They even offer a lifetime warranty on all new frames as standard.
