The Nervex Professional was a leading company for bicycle lugs. It made beautiful and well-refined lugs with pleasing lines, a classic design during the 1940s-50s. Many famous racers, such as Louison Bobet, and top frame builders used Nervex lugs, making them more popular among the people. They produced lugs made of pressed steel instead of the common cast steel, which was comparatively lighter and needed less maintenance. Initially, Nervex made ‘horns’ design lugs which were later changed to the more famous ‘fishtail’ design. Although the company discontinued production a long time ago, it is still famous and one of the most popular lug designs that remained in the market for a really long time.
