Introduced in 1983 and headquartered in Kent, Washington, Novara, a subsidiary of REI, started manufacturing bicycles, apparel, and accessories. The bike and components at Novera were designed in-house and finished by REI. The exclusive collection of Novara features high-performance kids, road, touring, recreation, city, and mountain bikes. The Novara products are available through the consumer cooperative REI. Following in 2016, REI declared to discontinue the Novara line.
